Copyright Policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
1. Our approach
We respect intellectual property, and our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy require customers to do the same. This policy follows the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Copyright Rules, 2013.
2. How to send a notice
Email [email protected] with the subject "Copyright notice" and include:
- your name, address, phone number and email, and if you act for the owner, your authority to do so;
- a description of the work you own, and evidence that you own it or hold the rights;
- where the infringing content is, such as a link, video name or account, with enough detail for us to find it;
- why you believe it infringes, and confirmation that its use is not licensed by you or allowed by law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and your signature, which can be typed.
3. What we do with a notice
- We review complete notices and, where they are valid, disable access to the content within 36 hours.
- We tell the customer concerned and give them a copy of the notice, with your contact details removed where appropriate.
- As the Copyright Rules provide, we keep the content disabled for 21 days. If within that time you send us an order from a competent court, we keep it disabled as the order requires. If not, we may restore it.
- We may decline notices that are incomplete, unclear or clearly wrong, and ask for more information.
4. If your content was removed
If you believe your content was removed by mistake, or that you have the right to use the material, reply to our email with your explanation and any evidence, such as a licence. We will share your response with the person who sent the notice and take it into account.
5. Repeat infringement
We may suspend or close the accounts of customers who repeatedly infringe other people's rights.
6. Face, voice and personality rights
If content made with ContentNeo uses your face, voice, name or likeness without permission, this is handled as an urgent impersonation complaint. Contact our Grievance Officer, Narendran, at [email protected]. See our Grievance Officer page.
