1. Who we are
ContentNeo is operated by Inaily Innovations, a partnership firm registered under the Indian Partnership Act, 1932, of Chennai, India ("we", "us"). We decide how and why your personal data is used for the purposes in this policy, which makes us the "data fiduciary" under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the "body corporate" responsible under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules on sensitive personal data.
Our Grievance Officer, Narendran, handles privacy questions and complaints. Contact details are at the end of this policy.
2. Who this policy covers
- Visitors to contentneo.ai.
- People who request an invitation.
- Business owners and team members who use the ContentNeo app.
- People who appear in content that our customers upload. Section 14 explains how that works.
3. What we collect and why
| What we collect | Why we use it |
|---|---|
| Invitation requests: email, name, business name, website, the platforms you post on | To review your request, contact you about your invitation and plan onboarding. |
| Account details: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), or your Google or Microsoft sign-in details | To create and secure your account and sign you in. |
| Business information: business name, products and services, prices, customers, location, brand logo, colours and fonts, and the public pages of your website | To learn your business and plan content, ideas and scripts that fit it. |
| Instagram details: your follower count and similar figures you tell us, or, if you choose to connect your Instagram account, the profile details and post and reel statistics that Instagram shares with us with your permission | To understand how your account is doing so we can suggest the right mix of videos. You can disconnect Instagram at any time, in the app or in your Instagram settings, and we then delete the data we received from it. |
| Voice calls with ContentNeo AI: your voice, streamed live to our AI provider during the call, and the written transcript and summary of the call | To hold the conversation and turn it into your business profile, ideas or edits. We do not record or keep the audio of calls. We keep the transcript and summary. |
| Content you upload or create: photos, product images, video clips, voice recordings, scripts, instructions, edit requests and finished videos | To make, edit and deliver your videos. |
| AI clone data, only if you create a clone: a video of you, a short reference clip, still frames of your face, a sample of your voice, a voice model made from it, your recorded consent statement and identity-check result | To verify that the clone is of you and to make videos presented by your clone at your request. See our AI Clone Policy. |
| Team details: names, emails and access levels of team members you add | To give your team access and control who can use your clone. |
| Credits and payments: credit balance and history, plan, and when paid plans start, billing details handled by our payment provider | To run plans and credits, and meet tax and accounting duties. We do not store full card numbers. |
| Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages and features used, times and error logs | To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, fix problems and meet logging duties under law. |
| Messages: emails and support requests you send us | To answer you and improve our support. |
We do not ask for, and do not infer, your religion, caste, health, sexual orientation, political opinions or financial account details. When our AI describes how a person looks for video consistency, it is told not to guess race or ethnicity from their photo.
4. How we use AI
- AI systems read what you give us and produce scripts, images, voiceovers and videos. Every output is a suggestion for you to review. We do not use AI to make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
- The presenters in non-clone videos are AI-generated characters, not real people.
- We do not use your content or personal data to train our own AI models. Our AI providers process it to provide their service to us. We use their business or paid terms, and the privacy settings they offer, to stop them from training on your content wherever they allow it.
- Videos made with AI carry labels and embedded information showing they were made with AI, as Indian law requires.
5. Consent and other lawful bases
- We rely on your consent, given when you request an invitation, create an account or start a feature, to process your personal data for the purposes in section 3.
- For your AI clone, we ask for separate, explicit consent in writing in the app and as a spoken statement on camera, before we collect any face or voice data.
- We may also process data where you have given it to us voluntarily for a specified purpose, or where the law requires us to, for example to keep logs, keep tax records or respond to lawful orders.
- You can withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, by deleting the feature in the app or writing to us. Withdrawal does not affect what we did before, but we may not be able to provide parts of the service without the data.
7. When our team sees your data
Only authorised members of our team can access customer data, and only when it is needed to provide the service: for example to onboard you, fix a problem with a video, answer a support request you make, investigate abuse or security issues, or meet a legal duty. Access is limited to what the task needs.
8. Data outside India
Our servers and some of our providers are outside India, mainly in the United States. By using ContentNeo, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in those countries for the purposes in this policy. We use providers that protect data to at least the standard required by Indian law, and we will not transfer data to any country the Government of India restricts.
9. How long we keep data
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Invitation requests | Until we decide on your request, then up to 12 months so we can contact you if a place opens. Deleted sooner if you ask. |
| Account, business information, transcripts and uploads | While your account is open. Deleted within 30 days after you close it. |
| AI clone data | Until you delete your clone or close your account. Deleted within 30 days after that, including the voice model held by our provider. We keep only a record of your consent and identity check, without face or voice data, for up to 3 years to show that consent was given. |
| Finished video files | 90 days after they are made. You can rebuild them in the app after that. |
| Security and access logs | At least 1 year, as Indian law requires, then deleted. |
| Billing and tax records | As long as tax and accounting laws require, usually up to 8 years. |
If an account has been inactive for a long time, we may ask whether you still want it and close it if you do not reply, giving notice before deleting anything. Copies in backups are deleted when those backups expire.
10. How we protect data
- All traffic to ContentNeo is encrypted in transit with HTTPS.
- Passwords are stored only as secure hashes. Service keys are encrypted.
- Access to systems and data is limited to authorised people and protected by authentication.
- Media files are stored privately and shared with providers only through short-lived links when a job needs them.
No system is perfectly secure. If a personal data breach happens, we will tell affected people without delay, explaining what happened, the likely impact and what we are doing about it, and we will report it to the Data Protection Board of India and to CERT-In as the law requires.
11. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and tell you who we have shared it with;
- correct, complete or update it;
- delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- stop processing it based on consent, by withdrawing consent;
- accept a person you nominate to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to act.
Write to [email protected] or use the settings in the app. We will check that the request is really from you, and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to our Grievance Officer, and after that to the Data Protection Board of India.
13. Emails
We send emails you need, such as sign-in links, invitation updates, video updates and service notices. We may also send occasional product updates. Every product update email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect service emails.
14. People in your content
When you upload photos, video or voice of other people, such as your staff or customers, you decide to use their data, and we process it on your behalf only to make your videos. You must have their consent and give them any notice the law requires. If someone asks us about their data in your content, we will refer them to you and help you respond. If they report that their face or voice was used without permission, we will act on it as described on our Grievance Officer page.
15. Children
ContentNeo is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Customers must not upload images, video or voice of anyone under 18 without verifiable consent from a parent or guardian, and never to create an AI voice or clone. If we learn that we hold a child's data without that consent, we will delete it.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. We will show the date of the latest version at the top of this page, and tell you by email or in the app before any material change takes effect. Where a change needs your consent, we will ask for it.
17. Contact and complaints
We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 7 days, and always within the time the law allows. More detail is on our Grievance Officer page.
